Nature of Work
This position is responsible for assuring that program youths are adequately supervised and cared for in a safe and therapeutic manner. The Senior Counselor is highly involved in the individualized service planning for their assigned youth and completion of Medicaid rehabilitative service contacts
• A bachelor’s degree in a human services related field is strongly preferred. An associate’s degree along with 5 years’ experience in working with children and/or adolescents with serious emotional disturbance may be considered.
• Must meet the requirements of the School Age Care, Day Care, and/or Mental Health Regulations regarding a State Central Register Clearance regarding history of abuse/maltreatment of children and Criminal History Review for criminal convictions.
• Requires a valid driver’s license that meets insurability guidelines to operate agency-owned vehicles.
