Energy Programs Crew Supervisor – Pro Action is seeking applicants for the position of Energy Programs Crew Supervisor.  This is a full time, 37.5 hour per week position and is eligible for benefits that include medical, dental and vision insurance, retirement with employer contributions and generous paid time off.

This position is responsible for the oversight of construction / weatherization projects, including coordinating workers, materials and equipment and ensuring that specifications are being followed and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. Review work orders and plan jobs to maximize efficient use of time and resources.  Maintain proper material inventory control records related to units worked on.  Supervise and train crew workers, ensuring proper procedures and contract compliance.  Comply with all rules and regulations including Weatherization, Empower and BPI safety procedures.

Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds, crawl, climb ladders and use hand and power tools.  Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and various other construction related conditions.

Relevant job-related experience in construction or a related field is required for this position.  a valid driver’s license meeting agency standards and your own transportation to travel to state mandated training is required.  Must complete and pass a physical examination and criminal background check.  This position is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing under the terms and conditions of Pro Action’s Drug Free Workplace Policy.

Heating Specialist – Pro Action’s Energy Programs is looking for a hard-working, solution-focused and dedicated Heating & Ventilation Service Technician to join our growing team.  The individual in this role will be responsible for inspecting, installing and repairing our customers’ heating and ventilation systems.

This position works 37.5 hours per week.  We offer a competitive wage and comparable benefit package that includes paid time off, sick leave, medical insurance and retirement plan.

Applicants should have extensive experience handling, installing and repairing HVAC equipment and be comfortable working with little or no supervision.

The Heating Specialist will travel to homes on a daily basis, inspect current heating and ventilation systems for effectiveness and safety and conduct performance tests using specialized tools.  Will determine customer needs and discuss all potential solutions with customers.

After troubleshooting system issues, the Heating Specialist will perform preventative maintenance, repair damaged systems or install new systems, depending on customer needs.

The Heating Specialist must be reliable and punctual and adhere to a daily schedule consisting of multiple appointments in various locations.  Must have a minimum of the equivalent of two years of field experience and be able to work in confined spaces.  Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex heating and ventilation issues to customers and coworkers are required.
