HEAP Opens November 12, 2019
The Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) will open on November 12, 2019 for the REGULAR HEAP benefit component, and the Emergency component will be available starting January 2, 2020.
Many who received the HEAP award last year may have received an early mailing of the application. This can be turned in at the Pro Action office in Bath, the local Department of Social Services (DSS), or sent back in through the mail.
The online application will be available beginning November 12th.
Customers can also gain a copy of the application at their local DSS, as well as at our Pro Action office in Bath, where we will have a HEAP intake person on site.

Project Care Van Driver – Steuben County Office for the Aging
Pro Action is seeking a part time van driver to utilize their driving skills to help Steuben County senior citizens maintain their independence.
The Project Care Van Driver will work up to 20 hours per week transporting senior citizens for grocery shopping and errands in Steuben County. The van driver will be responsible for the development of driving routes, record keeping and promotion of the program.
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and/or one to three months of related experience and/or training. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with the senior population. Experience working with the senior population is a plus.
The Project Care Van Driver must have a valid driver’s license that meets agency standards and must pass required background and DMV checks. Must have and maintain a clean driving record. This position is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing under the terms and conditions of Pro Action’s Drug Free Workplace Policy.
