STC Begins Employer and Worker Survey

With funding from the federal CARES Act, the Southern Tier Central Regional Planning & Development Board (STC) has commissioned an online survey of employers in Chemung, Schuyler, and Steuben counties.  The survey includes questions about the impact of the pandemic, hiring challenges, skills gaps, and training needs, among other topics, and it is strictly anonymous.

CCE Steuben Annual Dinner & FLXGives Campaign Event

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Steuben County (CCE-Steuben) has a big day planned for Friday, November 12. They will be celebrating their Annual Meeting with a TRIVIA competition led by Bob Smith of Bulldog Sounds DJ Services at the Barrelhouse 6 Distillery (B6D) in Hammondsport. They will also be promoting their 2021 project for the Community Foundation of Elmira-Corning and the Finger Lakes’ FLXGives Day – a $13,000 campaign to build a community pavilion and permaculture garden on property on Haverling Street in Bath.
