Snowy holiday wishes
Tanglewood News Dec. 23, 2020
We survived the solstice, the darkest night of the year, with our owl eyes looking up at the planets. The staff, volunteers, and Board of Directors are wishing each of you a warm, healthy, and happy last few weeks of 2020 – and we can’t wait to celebrate the new year with you! Here’s to more time enjoying the outdoors, more peaceful snowfalls and bird chatter, and more programs and animal adventures in the new year.
2020 been a tough year in a lot of ways, but we are beyond grateful for the support and the encouragement that our community has given Tanglewood. We are so glad that our trails have been a place of respite and inspiration for you – and we’ve been inspired by your kindness as we keep on doing our work of conservation and education.
What we’re reading this week:
- “Octopuses observed punching fish, perhaps out of spite, scientists say” is probably in my top 10 favorite headlines for the year. ‘
- How climate change may position Russia as a global superpower.
- and, finally, because who does not appreciate a happy little tree? This delightful video about where all the Bob Ross paintings went.
We have a new tote available on our Bonfire page – Tanglewood tees, sweatshirts, and now a reusable tote all available for purchase!
Be well and hike often. Share your photos and nature stories with us!
Due to the increasing cases of COVID-19 across our region, the Nature Center is closed to the public. The Nature Center will remain closed until 2021. As always, our trails are open! We hope you enjoy the fresh air.
