No joke: we’re re-opening in May!
Tanglewood News – April 1, 2021
SUMMER CAMP 2021!
Several weeks of summer camp have sold out – register soon to save your spot!
For camp families: you can check out the different themes for each week, learn more, and sign up today on our website: https://tanglewoodnaturecenter.wildapricot.org/camp
In very, very happy news: we are planning on re-opening the nature center to visitors on May 1st!
There will still be limitations in place for public health – reduced capacity in the exhibit areas and gift shop, for example, and one-way traffic. But the animals and staff are very excited to welcome you back!
What we’re reading this week:
- This high schooler invented color-changing sutures that show infection!
- A spiky purple carpet demands a multi-pronged (ha) approach: building oases, supporting kelp and otters, urchin ranching.
- The five most expensive invasive species.
Be well and hike often. Share your photos and nature stories with us!
Due to COVID-19, the Nature Center is closed to the public. As always, our trails are open! We hope you enjoy the fresh air.
