The Dormann Library is offering some programming for adults that we think you might be interested in. We have partnered with the SNAP-Ed Program (through Cornell Cooperative Extension) to offer two in-person workshops at the library.
The first will be Tips on Cooking for Less. Join the SNAP-Ed Nutritionists as they cover useful tricks on cooking for fewer people and with less money! This first workshop will be offered on Monday, November 15 and again on Monday, December 6. The program runs from 11 a.m. to noon on both days.
The second program in this series will focus on Healthy Holidays. There will be tips and tricks to help you get through the holidays in the healthiest ways possible! This session will be offered on Monday, November 29 and again on Monday, December 13 from 11 a.m. to noon. If a person attends a session on both topics, they will be entered into a drawing to win a $25 gift card from Tops. Pre-registration is required.
Adults and teens (15+) can stop by on Wednesday, November 17th to pick up a Grab & Go Craft Kit to make a clay mushroom ring dish. They are one per person while supplies last. If you would rather get your craft on in a group, we will be offering a class to make feather earrings or a pendant out of wire and embroidery floss on Tuesday, November 23 from 6 to 7 p.m. While the class is free, we do ask that you pre-register so we know how many folks to prepare for.
You can pre-register for any program by calling the library (607-776-4613), messaging us through Facebook or our website (www.dormannlibrary.org), or by stopping in.
