BATH | World Bee Day is coming up on May 20, but here at the Dormann Library, we wanted to celebrate all month long.

One of the superpowers of the bee is pollination. We think that reading is also a superpower and we are celebrating Children’s Book Week during the first full week of May (5/3 -5/7). Stop in and we can help you figure out your superpower (and make some awesome book suggestions).

For our tweens and teen, we are hoping that you will stop in and pick up a Make and Take Star Wars project. You will get everything you need to make a light up Yoda or Death Star. Star Wars: “May the 4th be with you” is a holiday we can get behind. You can go to the dark side of the Force and celebrate “Revenge of the 5th.” The Dormann Library has you covered either way with these kits.

Did you know that the queen bee is the mother to everyone in the hive? We think human moms are special, too! To celebrate them, the Dormann Library is giving away four prize packages (which include a Vera Bradley bag and a $5 gift card to Dunkin Donuts) to some wonderful mothers. Stop in to nominate a mom to win. You can fill out one entry form, per day. We will announce the winners on Friday, May 7th at noon. The folks who did the nominating will have until Saturday, May 8 at 2:00pm to pick up their prizes (unless other arrangements are made). We want you to be able to give your mom her prize package on Mother’s Day!

Keep an eye and ear out for more buzz worthy activities at the Dormann coming this month.

Come to the Dormann Library for a chance to win a prize package, which includes a Vera Bradley bag, for a special mom. We will be honoring four mothers with these awesome gifts bundles.
